Knicks pause extension talks with Towns, Hart and McBride
New York told ESPN's Shams Charania it will stop negotiating extensions until later in the season to focus on the year ahead. Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart and Miles McBride had all been discussing new deals but say talks hadn't gone how they hoped.
Towns must decline his $61M player option by October 19 to sign an in-season extension, and Hart faces the same deadline on his $22.4M team option. McBride remains extension-eligible through June 30, and Tyler Kolek's team option is also in play.
