Trade pitch sends Herro to Detroit for Holland, Robinson and a first
Bleacher Report's Grant Hughes floated a trade sending Tyler Herro from Milwaukee to Detroit for Ron Holland, Duncan Robinson and an unprotected 2027 first-round pick.
The idea assumes Milwaukee, which just acquired Herro in the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade, would flip him again as soon as mid-December, using his self-created scoring to fix Detroit's half-court playmaking around Cade Cunningham.
It's also premised on the Pistons re-signing restricted free agent Jalen Duren, keeping him alongside Cunningham and a new scorer.
Herro is in the final year of a four-year, $120 million deal worth $33 million this season, which the pitch frames as low risk for Detroit. For Milwaukee, rebuilding after Antetokounmpo's exit, the return centers on cost control and future draft capital rather than Herro's remaining upside.
