Wizards' Duren interest murky after Athletic retracts report

Marc J. Spears named Washington as one of four teams with sign-and-trade interest in Jalen Duren if he and Detroit don't reach an extension.

The Athletic's Sam Amick and Hunter Patterson initially backed that up, reporting a possible Duren-for-Anthony Davis swap, then pulled the Wizards reference and issued a correction calling it inaccurate.

Nothing concrete ties Washington to the deal now, and the retraction leaves the original ESPN report looking shakier than when it aired.
