Brown blames second apron for thin market, now fights for Knicks roster spot

Bruce Brown signed a training camp deal with New York after a quiet free agent market, telling the New York Post's Stefan Bondy that teams repeatedly cited the second apron as their reason for passing.

Brown said he heard that excuse all summer despite playing all 82 games last season for champion Denver. He now says he is fighting for a roster spot, with James Wiseman reportedly the frontrunner for a similar role.
