Pelicans shopping Jordan Hawkins after Mathurin signing

New Orleans has finalized a trade sending Jordan Hawkins and Micah Peavy to Memphis, along with a future second-round pick and a pick swap, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The Grizzlies send back AJ Johnson and Taj Gibson.

The move follows the Pelicans' signing of Bennedict Mathurin, which had squeezed Hawkins' role in New Orleans. Hawkins' roughly $7 million expiring salary had made him an easier piece to attach draft capital to and move.
