Nuggets ink Nembhard to two-way deal, waive KJ Simpson

Denver agreed to a two-way contract with Ryan Nembhard on Wednesday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports. The Denver Post's Bennett Durando reported that KJ Simpson was waived to make room for him.

Nembhard averaged 6.6 points and 5.3 assists as a Dallas rookie last season, including a 28-point, 10-assist outing against the Nuggets.

He arrives after Dallas traded him to Atlanta, which sent him to Charlotte, where he was waived before landing in Denver. Simpson, a former Colorado standout, joined the Nuggets in February and now needs a new team to continue his development.
