Bulls floated as fit for free agent Cam Whitmore

Elias Schuster of Chicago Bulls on SI suggests the Bulls look at unrestricted free agent Cam Whitmore, whom Graham could sign to a near-minimum one-year deal.

Whitmore was waived and stretched by Cleveland after a five-team trade sent him from Washington to the Cavaliers, who acquired Peyton Watson. Chicago has an open roster spot but may hold it for in-season flexibility.

Marc Stein calls Denver "a team to watch" for Whitmore, who is owed his $5.46M salary regardless of where he signs. He averaged 9.2 points and 2.8 rebounds for the Wizards last season, playing just 21 games due to a shoulder blood clot, after averaging 10.8 points over two seasons in Houston.

Denver carries 14 roster spots and may not fill the 15th given its crowded, tax-heavy roster, having already added DeMar DeRozan, Marvin Bagley III and Alpha Diallo this offseason around Nikola Jokic.
