Grimes explains why joining the Lakers was a 'no-brainer'
Quentin Grimes signed a four-year, $60 million deal with the Lakers this summer, with a player option for 2029-30. He told ESPN LA the move made sense given his ties to Luka Doncic, coach JJ Redick and assistants he already knew.
Grimes said the Lakers pitched him a real offensive role alongside a bigger defensive workload, guarding top perimeter scorers.
