Lakers add Matisse Thybulle

Matisse Thybulle joined the Lakers in free agency on a veteran minimum deal after seeing his role shrink in Portland. He was a two-time All-Defensive selection with Philadelphia but has struggled to stay on the floor, playing just 45 games in each of the past two seasons.

Thybulle said at media day the Lakers' coaching and training staff have built a plan to keep him available. Teammate Austin Reaves called him one of the league's best defenders after training camp reps.
