Knicks keep tabs on Cisse ahead of Mavericks' Oct. 1 deadline
The Knicks are monitoring Moussa Cisse's contract situation in Dallas, according to Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News. New York signed Cisse to an offer sheet in July before Dallas matched it, building in an Oct. 1 guarantee date on his salary.
Marc Stein reports the Mavericks are squeezed trying to keep Cisse, Tarik Biberovic and Marcus Sasser while also finding a way to retain Dwight Powell. New York still needs center depth behind Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond, and would be ready to pursue Cisse again if Dallas can't make the numbers work.
