Dwight Powell

The Knicks are monitoring Moussa Cisse's contract situation in Dallas, according to Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News. New York signed Cisse to an offer sheet in July before Dallas matched it, building in an Oct. 1 guarantee date on his salary.

Dallas is trying to find roster room to keep Dwight Powell, according to Marc Stein. Powell signed a partially guaranteed one-year deal last week, but the Mavericks already have 15 standard contracts filled. He averaged 3.3 points and 4.1 rebounds last season and remains the longest-tenured player on the roster.

Dwight Powell's re-signing left Dallas at the roster limit of 15 standard contracts, and NBA insider Marc Stein reported the Mavericks have not ruled out clearing a spot to keep him.

Dallas has re-signed Dwight Powell to a one-year contract. Powell has been with the Mavericks since 2014, making him one of the franchise's longest-tenured players. He averaged 3.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14.3 minutes per game last season while shooting 64 percent from the field.

Dwight Powell has agreed to a new one-year, $3.88 million contract with Dallas, according to RealGM, with $1 million guaranteed and another $500,000 kicking in if he makes the opening night roster.

California Post's Ryan Anderson lists Dwight Powell, Drew Eubanks, Bismack Biyombo and Mason Plumlee as free agent big men the Lakers could target. Powell's prior run alongside Luka Doncic in Dallas makes him the name mentioned most.

After missing out on Jonathan Kuminga, who signed a two-year deal in Minnesota, the Lakers are left searching for two-way wing and frontcourt depth behind Walker Kessler and Kevon Looney.
