Hornets swap Townsend for Mangas in latest roster shuffle
Charlotte has signed guard Kyle Mangas and waived Trey Townsend, per the team. It's the second such swap in two days, after the Hornets waived Josiah Allick to sign Townsend on Tuesday, using their lone open offseason roster spot to rotate players through ahead of training camp.
Mangas, a former undrafted free agent out of Indiana Wesleyan who spent time with the Spurs as a two-way player, has yet to appear in an NBA game. Townsend will head to the G League's Greensboro Swarm, where clearing waivers lets him chase a bonus worth up to $91K under his Exhibit 10 deal.
