Hornets swap Josiah Allick for Trey Townsend on roster's last spot
Charlotte waived Josiah Allick just days after signing him and replaced him with forward Trey Townsend on a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal, according to Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer.
Townsend went undrafted out of Arizona in 2025 and bounced between Sweden, Canada and two G League affiliates last season, averaging 4.6 points in 18.7 minutes across 24 G League games.
He's likely to get waived before the season and head to the Greensboro Swarm, where he could earn an Exhibit 10 bonus worth up to $91K. The move looks like roster churn tied to securing G League rights rather than a real camp battle.
