Hornets sign and waive Allick, Townsend in G League maneuvering

The Hornets signed forward Josiah Allick on an Exhibit 10 deal and waived him less than a day later, then did the same with Trey Townsend.

Both moves let Charlotte's G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm, retain returning rights to the players without burning one of the team's four affiliate-player slots, since Greensboro already controls Allick's rights and recently traded for Townsend's.

The Exhibit 10 structure also lets the Hornets dangle bonus money worth up to $91,000 if either player spends 60 days with the Swarm this season.
