Green and a 2030 second for Buddy Hield in a Wolves-Hawks trade idea
Minnesota has traded Josh Green to Utah, per ESPN, a different destination than the Atlanta deal that had been floated.
That earlier trade idea had the Wolves sending Green and a 2030 second-rounder (via Memphis) to the Hawks for Buddy Hield, on the argument that the Kuminga signing made Green surplus on the wing, with Green's expiring $14.6M against Hield's $9.6M a useful saving for a first-apron team.
Hield played just seven games for Atlanta after February's Porzingis deal and holds a $10M player option for 2027-28.
