Bulls flip for Buddy Hield, sending Dillingham to Charlotte
Charlotte is sending Buddy Hield and cash to Chicago for Rob Dillingham, ESPN's Shams Charania reported. The deal pushes the Bulls over the salary cap, though they remain $34.6 million below the luxury tax line.
It's Hield's second move in days, after Atlanta sent him, Ryan Nembhard and cash to the Hornets for Dorian Finney-Smith. Hield is signed through next season at a $9.7 million cap hit, with a $10 million player option for 2027-28.
Dillingham averaged 9.6 points in 21.5 minutes after a midseason trade from Minnesota to Chicago last season. Neither player carries guaranteed long-term money, and it's unclear either makes an opening night roster, with Charlotte currently three players over the standard limit.
