Dadiet and a 2029 second floated for Hornets big Kalkbrenner

A trade idea has New York sending Pacome Dadiet and Phoenix's 2029 second-round pick to Charlotte for 7-foot-1 center Ryan Kalkbrenner, with no reporting that the two sides have talked or that the Hornets are shopping him.

Kalkbrenner, the No. 34 pick in 2025, averaged 7.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks as a rookie on 75.3% shooting and led all rookies in blocks.

The argument for Charlotte listening: a frontcourt now stacked with Moussa Diabate, Naz Reid and No. 14 pick Hannes Steinbach. New York has already been turned down on Diabate and on New Orleans' Yves Missi.
