Rookie Tyler Nickel remains unsigned by New York days before training camp, though The Athletic's James L. Edwards III reports the two sides are still expected to eventually reach a deal.
A hypothetical trade would send Pacôme Dadiet to Brooklyn along with a protected 2033 second-round pick swap and roughly $2 million in cash.
Knicks Centric writer Tommy Beer says Pacome Dadiet's hold on a roster spot is tenuous, with New York exploring trades in case it prefers to keep veterans.
A trade proposal from Eric Jay Santos of Sports Illustrated would send OG Anunoby, Pacome Dadiet and draft compensation to Houston for Kevin Durant. Santos noted some front offices now view Durant as a diminished trade chip, which could push the Rockets to move faster.
A trade idea has New York sending Pacome Dadiet and Phoenix's 2029 second-round pick to Charlotte for 7-foot-1 center Ryan Kalkbrenner, with no reporting that the two sides have talked or that the Hornets are shopping him.
One idea has Miles McBride and Pacome Dadiet going to Brooklyn with Noah Clowney coming back to New York. McBride enters 2026-27 on an expiring $3.9M deal, while Clowney, 22, averaged 12.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 threes in 27 minutes over 60 starts and reaches restricted free agency next summer.
