Trade idea sends Duren to Clippers for Ingram and Lopez
Detroit Pistons writer Cem Yolbulan pitched sending restricted free agent Jalen Duren to the Los Angeles Clippers for Brandon Ingram, Brook Lopez and a first-round pick. Duren reportedly seeks around $40 million a year, with Sacramento and Milwaukee also said to have interest.
Any Ingram deal would need to be a sign-and-trade and couldn't happen for months, and the Clippers are unlikely to part with a pick after losing five to the Kawhi Leonard sanctions.
Bill Simmons floated a separate idea on his podcast sending Duren to Atlanta for Onyeka Okongwu and Dyson Daniels, arguing it splits salary reasonably: Daniels carries a four-year, $100 million deal, Okongwu roughly $16 million this season.
Duren has reportedly turned down a $200 million offer from Detroit, skipped media day and has no plan yet to report to camp.
