Trade idea reunites Lakers with Lopez, adds Jones for Hardy, LaRavia, Knecht

A trade idea would send Brook Lopez and Derrick Jones Jr. from the Clippers to the Lakers in exchange for Jaden Hardy, Jake LaRavia and Dalton Knecht.

The pitch leans on Lopez and Jones being on expiring contracts, and frames it as low-risk depth for a Lakers frontcourt relying heavily on Walker Kessler and Kevon Looney.

On the other side, the idea has the Clippers taking a flier on the younger Knecht as they pivot toward a rebuild after losing draft picks over the Kawhi Leonard cap circumvention findings.
