Timberwolves sign Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Atlanta acquired Nickeil Alexander-Walker from Minnesota in exchange for cash and a 2027 second-round pick, per the official transaction record. The pick is Cleveland's own selection. Minnesota also picked up a trade exception in the deal.

Lu Dort, traded to the Hawks after seven seasons in Oklahoma City, told Clemente Almanza he called close friend Nickeil Alexander-Walker as soon as he heard the news.

Sources told ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel the Lakers could have pulled off a two-for-one move to acquire Buddy Hield before he landed with the Bulls. Los Angeles reportedly balked at including a second-round pick to make the contracts work.
