Sources float three-year, $60M extension for Josh Hart

Two league sources point to a middle ground between Josh Hart and the Knicks on a three-year extension worth roughly $54 million to $62 million, or about $18-20 million a year, close to his current rate.

Hart became extension-eligible on August 10, with a maximum of four years and $132 million available, and is entering the final guaranteed season of his deal at $20.9 million with a team option near $22 million for 2027-28.

He shot better than 50 percent from the field and a career-best 41.3 percent from three while averaging over 14 points. Comparables including Derrick White's north-of-$30 million salary and Dillon Brooks' three-year, $73 million extension in Phoenix suggest Hart could command more.
