Klay Thompson open to a move to Los Angeles

Christian Clark of The Athletic reports that Klay Thompson would welcome a return to Los Angeles, where he spent part of his childhood and still owns a home, as Dallas explores his trade market without finding a deal.

Thompson is owed $17.5 million this season and becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2027. Miami is the other team repeatedly linked to him. Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints says the Mavericks would rather trade him than negotiate a buyout, which would require Thompson to surrender significant money.
