Heat camp notes: Thompson's shooting, Richards' guarantee date

Miami Herald's Anthony Chiang reports Klay Thompson's three-point shooting gives him an edge for the Heat's last starting spot over Tim Hardaway Jr. and Pelle Larsson. Thompson joined Miami after negotiating a buyout with Dallas over the summer.

Nick Richards' one-year, non-guaranteed deal worth $3.1M becomes fully guaranteed if he is still on the roster by opening night. Separately, Jahmir Young's G League rights have been traded to the Lakers' affiliate, according to Ira Winderman.
