Oladipo pens open letter pleading for another NBA shot

Victor Oladipo published an open letter through The Players' Tribune addressed to NBA general managers, saying his body has finally recovered from years of knee injuries and he deserves another shot after tearing his left patellar tendon with Miami in April 2023.

The 34-year-old has since held a private pro-day workout for teams during Summer League in Las Vegas, played in China with the Guangzhou Loong Lions, and logged 26 G League games with the Bucks' affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, averaging 13.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

The Sacramento Kings have been the only team linked to him this offseason, floated as a possible mentor or backup guard for rookie Darius Acuff Jr. after Russell Westbrook retired instead, though nothing official has developed there. ESPN reports no team has responded or offered him a deal so far.
