Newton lands camp deal with Kings after Rockets waiver

Tristen Newton has signed a training camp contract with Sacramento, according to Keith Smith of Spotrac. The guard was waived by Houston in late August after two-way stints with Indiana, Minnesota and Houston.

He posted big G League numbers last season with Iowa and Rio Grande Valley, earning All-NBA G League first team honors, and Sacramento's open two-way slot could be his if he impresses this fall.
