Melton's return to Golden State lauded as offseason sleeper deal
De'Anthony Melton re-signed with Golden State on a two-year, $12.3 million contract. NBA.com's Jeff Zillgitt named it one of the offseason's ten best under-the-radar moves, pointing to Melton's career-high 12.3 points per game last season.
Melton is now fully cleared for training camp after knee surgery limited him in 2024-25, and he's expected to take on a bigger scoring and playmaking role off the bench while Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody start the season out.
