Mavericks guarantee Moussa Cisse's salary for 2026/27

Dallas has fully guaranteed Moussa Cisse's $2,185,116 salary for 2026/27 after the October 1 deadline passed, Marc Stein reports, confirming earlier reporting from Mike Curtis of the Dallas Morning News. The deal had already become partially guaranteed for $1,092,558 once Cisse stayed on the roster through September 1.

The 24-year-old center went undrafted out of Memphis in 2025 and spent his rookie year on a two-way deal, averaging 4.5 points and 5.7 rebounds. Dallas matched a two-year offer sheet from the Knicks this summer, and Cisse's 2027/28 salary remains non-guaranteed.

The move brings Dallas to 15 standard contracts as the team heads to Macao for preseason games against Houston, with Dwight Powell left outside the roster picture.
