Lillard, LaVine, Hunter among names Heat could target with 2026 MLE

Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reports the Heat may wait on extending Davion Mitchell to see how he performs and whether top free agents would take their midlevel exception next summer.

Names floated include Damian Lillard if he opts out in Portland, plus Zach LaVine, De'Andre Hunter, Donte DiVincenzo and Lu Dort. Mitchell has one year and $12.4M left on his deal and averaged 9.3 points and 6.5 assists last season. Nothing is imminent, with Miami reportedly content with its roster for now.
