Lakers could pry Brook Lopez from Clippers for Hardy, a second-rounder
Heavy Sports' Adam Ahmed floated a trade sending Brook Lopez from the Clippers to the Lakers in exchange for Jaden Hardy and Washington's 2031 second-round pick, an idea also raised by Lakers insider Khobi Price.
The pitch frames Lopez as frontcourt depth behind Walker Kessler, with Ahmed adding that the 38-year-old could serve as a stretch big pairing well with Luka Doncic's pick-and-roll game off the bench.
Lopez is on an expiring deal now put at $9.8 million next season, up from an earlier $9.1 million figure, and averaged 8.5 points and 1.2 blocks last season in Milwaukee. Ahmed notes there's no indication the two sides are actually discussing the deal.
