Konchar agrees to one-year deal with the Knicks
John Konchar has agreed to a one-year, veteran's-minimum deal with New York, his agent George Langberg of GSL Sports Group told ESPN, with ESPN's Shams Charania confirming the terms.
The Heat, Raptors and Magic were also pursuing him, and Miami had asked him to wait for a possible offer this week, according to Barry Jackson, but Konchar chose not to wait.
He had been waived by Minnesota last month shortly after being acquired from Utah in the Josh Green trade, and the Wolves remain on the hook for his $6.17M guaranteed salary.
The deal leaves New York with 14 players on standard contracts, and the team is not expected to fill the 15th roster spot given its tax apron situation.
