Klay Thompson trade chatter links Mavericks and Heat

Dallas has no plans to keep Klay Thompson and would rather trade him than negotiate a buyout, per ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel, who floats Miami's Nikola Jovic and his $15.6 million salary as a near-exact match.

Jake Fischer said talk around a Thompson-Jovic deal has been circulating for weeks and that it would likely be done already if it were going to happen.

Thompson is in the final year of a three-year, $51 million deal, with the Lakers reportedly atop his wish list and Golden State also linked.
