Kings' Simmons signing narrows Oladipo's options, Heat still watching

Sacramento's decision to sign Ben Simmons to a one-year, $3.5 million deal likely closes off that landing spot for free agent Victor Oladipo, who had been linked to the Kings as a possible mentor for Darius Acuff.

Miami insider Ira Winderman reports Oladipo has been working out at the Heat's facility, keeping alive the chance of a reunion with his former team.

Oladipo hasn't played in the NBA since averaging 10.7 points for Miami in 2022-23, having missed a full season with a knee injury and since played in China and the G League.
