Kings passed on Trae Young for LaVine over extension fears
Kings insider James Ham said Sacramento turned down a deal that would have sent Zach LaVine to Atlanta for Trae Young. Ham reported the Kings worried Young would immediately push for a massive extension, something they weren't ready to commit to.
Young eventually went to Washington instead, signing a four-year, $212.8 million extension there. LaVine remains in Sacramento, with his future previously uncertain amid buyout speculation.
