Josh Green expected to be moved now that Kuminga is signed

Minnesota is expected to trade Josh Green after adding Jonathan Kuminga on a two-year, $13 million deal, Jon Krawczynski and Sam Amick of The Athletic report.

The Wolves need to cut roughly $3 million to stay below the second apron, and Green is due $14.6 million next season after averaging 4.3 points and 1.8 rebounds. A waive-and-stretch is also on the table, and Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reported Minnesota has until the end of August to trade or stretch him.

HoopsMatic trade machine data has Green turning up in 13.9% of user-built deals over a 24-hour span, with the Lakers his most frequent destination at 17.4% and Jarred Vanderbilt the player most often coming back.

The salaries match, though Los Angeles has spent the summer looking for a power forward rather than a smaller wing.
