Hornets add Jarkel Joiner, cut Kyle Mangas in roster shuffle

Charlotte signed guard Jarkel Joiner and waived Kyle Mangas as part of its ongoing churn for the last spot on its 21-man offseason roster, Hoops Rumors reports. Joiner, undrafted out of NC State in 2023, spent last season with the Raptors 905, averaging 10.9 points and 3.6 assists on 44.6% shooting.

His G League rights still belong to Toronto's affiliate, so Charlotte's Greensboro Swarm would need a trade to land him. Mangas, cut for the second time this week, is now ticketed to return to the Swarm as one of its returning-rights players.
