Heat still monitoring Oladipo's workouts as roster spot lingers open
Sun Sentinel's Ira Winderman reports Miami has kept tabs on Victor Oladipo, who has been working out at Kaseya Center as he tries to return from the patellar tendon injury that ended his 2023 season.
Winderman notes the team did not attend Oladipo's open tryout during Las Vegas summer league, suggesting interest may be lukewarm.
NBA insider Jake Fischer says the Heat have internal interest in adding a veteran guard, noting the team lacks depth behind Davion Mitchell. Miami has one roster spot left and about $2.5 million of room below the apron, enough for a minimum deal, but nothing is close to an agreement with the 34-year-old Oladipo.
