Heat claim Mbeng off waivers days after Hornets signed him

Miami claimed Bez Mbeng off waivers and will put him on an Exhibit 10 deal, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Charlotte had signed him to the same type of contract earlier this month before waiving him over the weekend.

His G League rights stay with the Sioux City Skyforce, where he could still land after camp. Mbeng played 15 games for Utah as a rookie last season, averaging 8.1 points and 4.1 assists but shooting just 19.4% from three.
