Cleveland traded Darius Garland and its own 2026 second-round pick to the Clippers for James Harden, according to the official transaction record. The pick was later used to select Henri Veesaar. A straight swap of lead guards, with a second-rounder as the sweetener.

Sources told ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel the Lakers could have pulled off a two-for-one move to acquire Buddy Hield before he landed with the Bulls. Los Angeles reportedly balked at including a second-round pick to make the contracts work.
