Dadiet's roster spot looks shaky as Knicks weigh a trade
Knicks Centric writer Tommy Beer says Pacome Dadiet's hold on a roster spot is tenuous, with New York exploring trades in case it prefers to keep veterans.
Beer expects John Konchar, Bruce Brown, Ochai Agbaji and Dadiet to fight for one remaining backup wing job. Dadiet has averaged just 1.7 points over 47 NBA games across two seasons, though he put up 23.1 points in 15 G League games last year.
New York Post reporter Stefan Bondy reports the Knicks have quietly shopped Dadiet for months without finding a partner. They tried landing Charlotte's Moussa Diabate, but the Hornets did not want Dadiet in return.
Chicago and Brooklyn have been floated as possible destinations given their cap room. If no deal emerges, New York could stretch Dadiet's $2.98M salary into a trade exception to open a roster spot without needing a trade partner.
