Clippers waive Broome, still owe him full $2.15M salary

The Clippers are waiving Johni Broome, per Jake Fischer of The Stein Line and Bleacher Report and Law Murray of The Athletic. Los Angeles carried 16 guaranteed contracts and needed to trim its roster, with Broome owed the least guaranteed money among them.

He'll still collect his full $2.15M salary unless another team claims him off waivers. Broome, the 35th pick in last year's draft, was acquired from Philadelphia over the summer along with a future second-round pick.
