Scoot Henderson is eligible for a five-year extension worth up to $252.3M, but insider Zach Lowe says he has no read on whether it happens. Portland's deadline to offer one is Oct. 19, after which Henderson plays out his contract and hits restricted free agency next summer.
Miami Herald reporter Barry Jackson says Jrue Holiday remains a name in Heat trade chatter but calls a deal difficult to construct right now. Portland has no plans to buy out the roughly $72 million left on his contract, since the Blazers still have playoff aspirations.

A proposed three-team deal has the Lakers landing Kel'el Ware and Vit Krejci, with Dalton Knecht going to Portland and Milwaukee collecting three second-round picks (a 2031 from Portland, plus 2031 and 2032 from Washington).
A proposed deadline deal has the Trail Blazers sending Jrue Holiday to Golden State for Draymond Green and De'Anthony Melton, thinning Portland's crowded backcourt of Ja Morant, Damian Lillard, Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe while adding a frontcourt defender.
One scenario has Karl-Anthony Towns moving to Portland, with the Knicks receiving Jrue Holiday, Toumani Camara and a 2029 first-round pick.
One trade idea moves Damian Lillard from Portland to Boston, with the Blazers taking back Sam Hauser, Baylor Scheierman and second-round picks in 2028 and 2030.
Holiday moves from Portland to Miami along with a 2027 second-rounder routed through Houston, with the Blazers taking back Nikola Jovic plus second-round picks in 2027 and 2031. Houston's payoff is a backcourt defender to pair with Fred VanVleet and Reed Sheppard.
