Knecht and Hardy would leave LA in three-team Kuminga deal

A sign-and-trade sketched out by writer Jake Weinbach would route Jonathan Kuminga to the Lakers, Dalton Knecht and a 2032 second-rounder to Chicago, and Jaden Hardy plus a 2031 second and cash to Atlanta.

Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer said the free agent's decision has narrowed to the Lakers or Timberwolves, with Kuminga appearing to prefer Los Angeles. The Lakers sit one player over the roster limit, which is where a third team helps.
