Wizards unlikely to offer Anthony Davis a max extension
The Wizards are not expected to give Anthony Davis a four-year, $275 million max extension, according to The Athletic's David Aldridge and Josh Robbins. They cite his age, injury history and the looming luxury-tax aprons as reasons Washington will hold off.
Davis and the team have already agreed to delay extension talks until after the season, and the report says agent Rich Paul is gauging outside interest in case a trade becomes the better path. Davis is owed $58.5 million this season with a $62.8 million player option for 2027-28.
