P.J. Washington, De'Andre Hunter and Ben Simmons named as Lakers' plan B

With Jonathan Kuminga off to Minnesota, the Lakers still have an open starting spot, and Yahoo's Jacob Rude lists five ways they could fill it: P.J. Washington, De'Andre Hunter, Saddiq Bey, Ben Simmons and internal option Adou Thiero.

Multiple reports had the Lakers uninterested in Washington because of his contract, though Rude wonders whether that stance changes now.

Hunter, once discussed in a Dalton Knecht deal before Sacramento acquired him, is an expiring contract on a team with fewer than 15 players. Simmons is framed as a camp-invite last resort.
