Warriors, Knicks were also in on Simmons before Kings deal

Sam Amick of The Athletic reports Golden State and New York were among the teams pursuing Ben Simmons before he agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million deal with Sacramento.

The 30-year-old missed all of last season with back issues and last played in April 2025 after a buyout sent him from Brooklyn to the Clippers. Golden State had also added Georges Niang and Brandon Williams this offseason while searching for size and defensive versatility around Stephen Curry.
