Vanderbilt, LaRavia, Knecht and Hardy floated as Lakers trade chips

Sean Deveney has reported the Lakers have shopped Jarred Vanderbilt and Dalton Knecht without finding a taker, while Jaden Hardy is simply someone the team wants off the roster. Jake LaRavia's modest expiring $6 million deal is seen as the easiest of the four to move, given the Lakers' roster crunch above the limit.

NBA insider Jake Fischer said on Bleacher Report's livestream that Los Angeles is still trying to flip Knecht or Vanderbilt, who carry about $16.6 million combined, for a two-way forward. Fischer called the roster incomplete even after adding Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes, Collin Sexton and Sandro Mamukelashvili.

Dan Woike of The Athletic has reported that rival executives have shown little appetite for either player. The search comes after the Lakers lost out on Jonathan Kuminga, who signed with Minnesota instead.
