Two teams could offer Wallace $30M a year if he hits free agency
ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel reports at least two teams would offer Cason Wallace more than $30 million annually if he reaches restricted free agency in 2027.
The Thunder have until October 19 to work out a rookie-scale extension before that becomes a risk, with Wallace entering the final year of his rookie deal at $7.4 million.
Oklahoma City's payroll already sits above $216 million, making an extension this summer unlikely given the cap crunch. The Thunder already dealt away Lu Dort, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins, and matching a rich offer sheet for Wallace later could get complicated.
