Trade idea would swap Duren for Herro and Ware in Detroit
A three-team trade idea would send Jalen Duren to Milwaukee in a sign-and-trade with a protected 2031 first-round pick, while Detroit lands Tyler Herro and Kel'el Ware.
Brooklyn would take Kevin Huerter, Tolu Smith and a 2031 second-round pick from Dallas' allotment as the facilitator. Detroit has offered Duren five years and $200 million, but that has not closed the gap between the sides.
The Athletic's Sam Amick and Hunter Patterson report Milwaukee is open to acquiring Duren now, while Sacramento has long been seen as a suitor for next summer. ESPN's Shams Charania also reports both teams have serious interest if he reaches free agency.
One hypothetical sign-and-trade package floated to fit both rosters financially centers on Myles Turner, Ryan Rollins and a 2033 first-round pick. The three-team proposal is hypothetical and would require Brooklyn to maneuver its payroll under the cap.
