Trade idea sends Porter Jr., Wolf to Spurs for Vassell, Johnson, pick

A trade proposal would send Michael Porter Jr. and Danny Wolf to San Antonio in exchange for Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson and a 2027 first-round pick via Atlanta.

The idea is meant to address the Spurs' league-worst three-point shooting from last season, including a rough Finals shooting stretch for Victor Wembanyama and company.

Porter enters the year on an expiring $40.8M deal, and the pitch argues Brooklyn would rather collect a first-rounder than extend him. No reporter or sourcing is attached to the proposal.
